Namibia’s promising young cyclist Tristan de Lange became the chief recipient of a handsome financial boost
from the Namibian Cycling Federation (NCF) ahead of his participation in the MTB World Championships, in Vallnord, Andorra end of this month.

The NCF availed N$20 000 towards Tristan’s travel and accommodation expenses for the august event. Tristan, reigning national and African junior champion, currently also holds overall 4th place on the world junior rankings. He will be accompanied by Aiden de Lange (team manager) and Mannie Heymans (mechanic).

According to Rolf Adrian, vice-president of the NCF, the federation is proud to invest in the future of promising young cyclists. “Given Tristan’s consistent showing and excellent results over the past months, we are confident he will make Namibia proud.”

He added that the NCF is exceptionally happy that Tristan is receiving a second chance to take part, after suffering injury during the World Championships last year in Norway.
