The Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare has announced a delay in payments to disability and old age grant beneficiaries. 

A notice issued on Thursday by the ministry stated that due to technical difficulties, payments for beneficiaries receiving grants via Nampost have been delayed. 

Typically, pensioners receive their grants on the first or second of each month, however the notice advised beneficiaries to collect their grants tomorrow only. 

The ministry apologised for the inconvenience and expressed appreciation for the public’s patience.
