The nominees for the 2025 Namibia Annual Sport Awards were officially unveiled on Wednesday evening during a nomination ceremony held in Windhoek.
This year’s edition features 18 categories. The highly anticipated main awards gala will take place on 22 November at the Queen’s Hall, Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre, in the Oshana region.
Among the recognised names is Terence Masuka, a nominee in the Sports Journalist of the Year (Digital Category). Expressing his excitement, Masuka said, “It’s an honour to be recognised once again. We are all winners in the end, so congratulations to everyone nominated.”
Meanwhile, Netball Namibia celebrated their national team, the Desert Jewels, for being shortlisted in the Team of the Year category, while netball player Monica Gomases earned a nomination for Sportswoman of the Year.
In a statement shared on social media, the federation said, “This recognition reflects the hard work of our players, coaches, administrators, leadership, and the passion of our supporters.”
