The New Era Editorial division yesterday left for Gobabis for a one-week training workshop, as part of a one-month training project that will continue in the capital next week, aimed at sharpening journalists’ skills. New Era chairman of the Board Vilbard Usiku said at the opening of the workshop the journalism world is becoming more demanding and competitive, thus an initiative such as this is commendable. He called on the participants to take the training with open minds. Isaac Zulu, a veteran journalist from the Herald newspaper in Zimbabwe, will conduct the training. Zulu has been in the media field for 38 years.
