Our Star of the Week is Namibia’s Paralympic hero Ananias Shikongo, who was crowned the 2016 Sports Achiever of the Year at the annual Namibia Sports Awards in the capital on Saturday. Shikongo, who scooped three medals (one gold and two bonze) for Namibia at this year’s Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, also walked away with the prestigious NamPower Sportsman with Disability of the Year award on the night – in the process picking up a combined handsome prize money totalling N$300 000.
