MOTOR vehicle enthusiasts looking for a good deal, can pop into the Standard Bank Auto Show which is opening its gates to the public on 4 and 5 July, and find yourself your dream car with this year’s Auto Show specials.

This year’s Standard Bank Auto Show under the theme: “Start the Engine” is expected to host 35 participating local dealerships, all offering the latest trends on the motor scene, with a huge variety to choose from.

The popular car show held together with the annual Biltong Fest at the SKW Sports Field, has a treat install for show goers this year with good finance opportunities, plus lots of prizes to be won.

Wim Lotter (Standard Bank’s Head of Vehicle and Asset Finance) has stated that he is looking forward to another successful Standard Bank Auto Show this year and expects a huge turnout.

“Everything is ready for our Auto Show and given the success we had with the previous auto shows, I am confident to say that we expect a great crowd. We will be having 35 exhibiting motor dealers and besides the latest vehicles on display we will also be showcasing caravans, as well as the “yellow metals” or big trucks as they are known to everyone,” Lotter added.

“We are hoping to attract 17 000 spectators to the show and this year our intention is to give exposure to our local dealers because it is always better to support our own.

“Standard Bank Namibia is pleased to announce that we will be offering all our vehicle buyers an interest rate of prime less 1.5 percent (7.75%) rate at the auto show.

“Besides these special benefits the participating dealers will also be offering specials their vehicles and also in terms of pricing and deposits. In addition to the interest rate Standard Bank Namibia will also allow all prospective vehicle buyers to enter into an agreement over 60 months with no deposit required. Customers who successfully apply for a vehicle during this period “also stand a chance to win exiting prizes, which includes free insurance, smart devices as well as a cash prize of N$10 000, which will be allocated towards the customers vehicle loan, and much more.”

On the entertainment side of things we will be having freestylers (motor bike stunts) will be performing over the weekend as well as the 4×4 guys will display their attractive vehicles with competitions throughout the show.

“My advice to the many first time car buyers who will be coming to the Auto show is that they should make it a point to visit as many dealers as possible in order to have a wide range of choice when buying their first car.”

Lotter also said that the motoring buying public should think about how a particular vehicle will suit their lifestyle, the performance and financially. They need to compare the vehicles and prices, and ask as many questions as possible to the dealers. The team of Standard Bank consultants will also be available for any queries and information during the two days.
