Namibian reggae singer Steve Hanana has just brought out his latest, the third in a series of reggae CDs titled “O’reggae”, expected to sell like hot cakes like the others.
His first two CDs, “Lion from the Jungle” in 2001 and “I dDead Living in the City” in 2004 did very well in sales.
“It took me three weeks to write, compose and compile the ten tracks on my latest CD in studio. Eight hundred copies of O’reggae are now available at local music shops. The CD is also being marketed internationally in Britain, Europe and in South Africa,” an obviously excited Hanana told Art/Life.
The reggae star is currently preparing for a stage show in March at the Warehouse Theatre, a show that will also travel to Europe later this year – to France, Britain and Sweden.
“At the same time I am busy with an album with the working title, “I have a dream, black and white living together in harmony”. It’s hard work, but we will get there,” Hanana said.
