WINDHOEK- Old Mutual’s Corporate division has donated a brand new blind stitch sewing machine to Anusa Schoolwear, the Needlework Project run by Beautiful Kidz. The new industrial sewing machine enables them to produce school clothes far more efficiently both in terms of time and labour.

Old Mutual Namibia appreciates the selfless work of the Beautiful Kidz team and passion for their mission and in March 2013 sponsored N$ 30,000 to Beautiful Kidz. Beautiful Kidz Namibia is a Non-Profit Organisation serving as a Ministry to Children in need and was established in 2003. Their community based centre is located in Katutura and caters for many orphaned and vulnerable children. Their focus is on education, training, youth programmes and job creation. In a community where drug and alcohol abuse is high, where unemployment is high, and where many young people suffer because of HIV/Aids and hunger; Beautiful Kidz has made it their mission to care for nearly 90 toddlers, 360 young people and 20 adults every week. The organisation also offers Computer Training, a Homework Class as well as Teacher and Child Care Training.
