Suspended Eenhana CEO breaks silence

Suspended Eenhana CEO breaks silence

Eenhana Town Council CEO Gabriel Benjamin said investigations around his suspension have commenced.

He told New Era on Monday that a scheduled hearing will be conducted next Wednesday.

Benjamin said he was first suspended for three months.

However, the suspension was extended until the end of this month.

The CEO was suspended last July.

At the time, town mayor Omri-Oon Kavandje said the suspension was linked to Benjamin’s performance.

However, he refused to disclose further information.

Benjamin is still getting his salary and full benefits.

He will be represented by his personal lawyer.

At the moment, Steve Mwaningange is the acting CEO.

Meanwhile, Benjamin said the council has since blocked his access to the building through the security guards.

He has been Eenhana’s CEO since 2021.
