The Cell One Road to Fame activation crew has this week left the capital for the North to continue their journey through the whole of Namibia.

The crew, led by artist Serverius Majiedt, will be taking the Cell One Road to Fame auditions to another four regions over the next three weeks.

“The two vehicles will stop in various towns along the journey and will interact and dialogue with whoever they meet. Part of Cell One’s winning philosophy is to ‘capture the hearts and minds of Namibians’ and Cell One is doing this very well through one-to-one dialogue. We believe that showing off the brand, wherever the activation crew travels, is creating a platform for such dialogue,” said Beverly Jandrell, director of communication of the company responsible for organising the event.

According to her the Cell One Road to Fame project is the biggest talent search ever held in Namibia.

“Namibia will choose the winner who will be catapulted to fame, through the prize of a CD recording and all associated marketing and publicity. So far the exciting Cell One Road to Fame project has identified two regional finalists – one in Oshikango and the other in the Kunene Region. The turnout at the Cell One Road to Fame auditions has exceeded all expectations and the “Sunday Fundays”, which are held in each region, prove that music does bring communities together,” she said.

The next auditions will be tomorrow at the Okahao Regional Office Hall from 09h00 to 15h00. The finalists will be held at the Sunday Funday this Sunday at the OnangombeSoccer Stadium from 15h00.
