Cartoonists around the world can submit their work to a contest in Iran that takes place every two years, it was announced in a press release from Iran.
The entry deadline is October 22.
The themes for the 8th Tehran International Cartoon Biennial are “money” and “bad luck.” The contest will only accept original artwork on those themes.
They should be black and white or colour, and without any kind of frame. Works should accompany a short biography and photo of the author, plus the entry form with full name, address, phone number and the e-mail of the participant.
The grand prize is worth US$8 000. First prize is US$2 000, second is $1 500, and third is $1 000. All prizes include trophies and honourable mention.
