Trustco Property Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a part of the investment portfolio of Trustco Group Holdings Ltd, has announced the third successful renewal of its Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the Lafrenz Industrial Township Development. This industrial project boasts a prime location, situated 7km from Windhoek’s central business district on the remaining land of Farm Nubuamis number 37.
Trustco Properties acquired the 302-hectare parcel in 2004, successfully developing 83 hectares to date into industrially zoned areas, known as Lafrenz extensions 1, 2 and 3.
According to Trustco, this industrial progress has given rise to a multitude of job opportunities
in the short-, medium- and long-term, bolstering economic expansion.
The remaining 157 hectares, comprising portion 81, 133 and the remainder of portion A, present future industrial development opportunities. According to a Trustco statement issued last week, “This ECC renewal underscores Trustco’s unwavering dedication to sustainable industrial development and rigorous compliance with Namibia’s environmental regulations. The company’s proactive stance toward environmental management encompasses comprehensive plans that not only guarantee economic sustainability but also uphold environmental responsibility”.
“We’re thrilled to renew the ECC for the Lafrenz Industrial Township Development,” said Le-Hugo van Rooyen, CEO of Trustco Properties.
“Our steadfast commitment to compliance and responsible growth drives our dedication to maintaining the highest environmental standards. Detailed planning and preparations for the next phase of the Lafrenz property development are well underway.”
The statement continued that, “Trustco Properties has consistently demonstrated its commitment to compliance, fostering positive partnerships with governmental authorities, investors and private sector stakeholders to accelerate responsible industrial growth while preserving the environment”.
