Ullah Foundation changing lives

OSHAKATI – Notoriously known as ‘street kids’, most Namibian street children are either orphans, or victims of extreme poverty and outright abuse, while a few have turned to the sex industry to make ends meet.

This is according to 35-year-old Ullah Nghifimule, the founder and CEO of Ullah Investment Group CC.

Through her newlyestablished foundation,
she aims to assist her fellow youths and address critical socio-economic issues in the country.

Founded in 2024, the organisation operates two divisions – an employment agency and a cleaning agency.

The organisation is introducing new initiatives by acquiring funding through her foundation to tackle unemployment, poverty, crime and the rising issue of sex work.

She believes that while she has tried to make a difference alone, together with her fellow youth, they can achieve greater things.

So far, she has provided food and essential supplies to vulnerable people in various communities, particularly in Oshikango and Oshakati.

“I have lived a street life, and understand what these people are going through,” she added.

Nghifimule said many people on the
streets lack access to food and proper sanitation, often turning to crime and other social ills as a result.
