It is very interesting to realise that in every argument, one’s position is always determined by one of these three aspects or all: perception, perspective and dimension. Firstly, each of these aspects is derived from information, life experiences as well as spiritual transformation.
It is, therefore, important that when having a dialogue, every participant puts these variables into consideration. One must understand that the other person may have information that one does not have. The other may have had experiences that one has not yet or will never encounter, and these may have had great overall life transformations more than anyone can imagine.
However, as much as all these aspects may have a great impact on one’s disposition, there is one that is more likely to change… perception; as you may have thought – although it happens to be in the forefront of every argument – it is the most vulnerable of all. That is why it is the one that is mostly the target of anyone who wishes to influence and sway mass opinion in a certain direction.
It is the basis on which masses can be led and misled, as well as informed and misinformed.
Perspective is much different to a higher degree. This is mostly because only those who are able to sit back in introspection and reflection can achieve it. Those who are merely led by perception, coupled with emotional sensitivity, hardly ever get to this point. This is because perspective requires the employment of critical mental faculties; for it is those who critically question everything, including themselves, who are more likely to get a better perspective of any situation and position at any given time. Unfortunately, this is not for those who simply follow narratives and talking points, because they are propagated by people or agencies in positions of influence.
When it comes to dimensions, though, it is a whole different game. This is because it requires not only perspective, but also even more the understanding that life has many different dimensions. Unfortunately, this is the subject that has been formally neglected purposefully for reasons that will not be mentioned in this write-up. Although humankind has the potential to reach and experience the highest dimensions, it has always been limited to a three-dimension life. This is the only dimension in which a person can never realise their true power and remain subjects, and get subjugated at the hands of those on a power trip.
So, next time one gets into a dialogue or argument, it is always helpful to have this in the back of one’s mind that sometimes it is not about being right or wrong. Sometimes a disagreement is not really a disagreement, but rather a clash of individual perception, perspective or dimension which determines one’s disposition and their views thereof.
