WINDHOEK – Tennis ace Codie van Schalkwyk extended his lead at the top of the Kia Tennis Rankings by winning his third Kia tournament in a row in Windhoek last weekend.

Second place in the advanced division went to Sylvia Schulz, who is currently the highest ranked female player, while Waylon Wetzel came in 3rd. The gold medal in the intermediate category went to Connor van Schalkwyk, while Veri Hinda managed to secure the second spot ahead of Delvin Losper.

Meanwhile, there was no way past Stephanie Schulz in the beginners division. With Schulz’s impressive performance, Kayden Schnelle had to settle for 2nd place, while the 3rd podium spot went to Japhet Haarmann. The victory in the midi class went to Faith Kahuure, closely followed by Adam Diggle – leaving Dezi Murorua tailing in 3rd spot. In the mini tennis group, rookie Daniel Sindila, caused a surprise by claiming the gold medal edging ahead of Hendrina Apollus. The bronze medal went to Karmi Muller.
