Keetmanshoop

Two Namibian females were arrested at a roadblock near Keetmanshoop on Saturday after cannabis worth about N$3 630 was found in their possession.

The two suspects, aged 18 and 30, were arrested at a temporary roadblock at the entrance to Keetmanshoop from Mariental. They had about 1.2 kilogrammes of cannabis in their possession.
The Karas Police crime investigation coordinator Commissioner Rudolf Isaak said the two suspects are Namibians from the Gibeon area.

It was unclear as to where the two suspects were coming from and where they were heading at the time of their arrest.
The suspects were expected to make a routine court appearance in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
