The FNB Women’s Super League (WSL) will continue this weekend, with several good games lined up for tomorrow and Sunday.
Action will commence tomorrow with a tie between V-Power Angels and Nust Babes at 12h00 followed by log leaders Ongos FC facing Arrows Ladies.
Speaking to this publication yesterday, Ongos Ladies head coach, Shama Gure, said he is happy with the physical and mental state of the players ahead of the weekend fixtures. He added that the mood is good and the girls are ready for tomorrow.
“We have welcomed some of our talented players who were also ruled out due to injury. But overall, I think we have had good training this week, and all players are in a good mental and physical state. They have shown optimism, and I think we are not going to slow down anytime soon,” he said.
Asked what he thinks of his opponent, the coach said: “We know how good a team they are, and we don’t underestimate any of our opponents because anything can happen on the field. They have had bad games, but that doesn’t rule them out of being considered winners,” he said.
On Sunday, action will continue, with Ongos Ladies taking on Nust Babes, V-Power Angels against Arrows Ladies, and Ramblers facing Beauties.
