Zimbabwe Won’t Be a Colony Again

THE Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe would like to challenge the press statement released by the legal Assistance Centre (LAC) and the opposition Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) in The Namibian newspaper of 24 June, 2008.

The statement on the purported political “crisis” in Zimbabwe shows a clear pattern of intensified efforts to discredit Zimbabwe’s presidential run-off election scheduled for 27 June 2008.

This falls into the part of the strategy of the opposition MDC-T and its Western sponsors, the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada and Australia and European Union to portray Zimbabwe as a country in a worsening political and humanitarian crisis.

The RDP and the LAC have now joined the bandwagon of the West and MDC-T and are calling for international intervention.

The two Western funded organisations are not qualified to comment on Zimbabwe and in particular the hackeneyed labelling of a democratically elected President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Cde R.G. Mugabe.

Lest the RDP forgets that we know them for what they are.

The Western countries and their allies the MDC-T, the RDP and LAC should keep out and they should not seek to threaten regional cohesion for their selfish interests.

The sovereign state of Zimbabwe will let the due electoral process take its own course as it always does, not at anyone’s bidding. After all the voters are more anxious than those in foreign lands who are feigning empathy.

It is well known that the Anglo-Saxon establishment is intent on destabilising and unseating the ruling liberation movements in the region.

They have thus found comfort and ensconced their programmes and strategies in opposition parties like the RDP and institutions of the like of the LAC.

These foreign regime change sponsorships receive more than money but also their propaganda methods and practices.

Zimbabwe will never be a colony again.
