WINDHOEK – What promised to be one of the best events of the year, the annual Spring Fiesta “All White Edition”, has lived up to its billing, attracting hundreds of partygoers donning white outfits.
Hosted at The Hills, a popular venue situated a few kilometres outside Windhoek on Saturday, the award-winning event has this year proved to be unbeatable and undeniably popular choice of donning the best and crisp white outfits.
This year, the event featured a line-up of 25 DJs from across Namibia and has given Namibian acts the first and only priority. Up to 12 artists graced the event, with Tswasiz, Lioness, KK, Sally and Gazza dishing out remarkable performances that left the entire crowd standing in awe.
Unlike previous years, this time around big artists were the first performers, with DJs spinning the decks in between. Gazza made sure he did not disappoint when he performed his new single ‘Chelete’, which saw almost the entire crowd singing along and craving for more. He also performed the loved song titled ‘Swagger’ from his last album ‘Pumumu’.
Tswazis performed their three songs, including ‘No Worries’ and ‘Digaga’. Making a breakthrough in the music industry, Lioness did not disappoint when she performed her song ‘Dream’ and was also joined on stage by Oteya, to perform their collaboration song, ‘Di Matta’. KP Illest ended the performances with his song ‘Okay Okay’, before the DJs took over and let the folks enjoy their party further with good music.
It was clear from the outset that this type of event would attract the affluent trades selling their products. There was a complete mixture of age groups that had come out of the woodwork. Men dressed in white shorts, jeans and linen trousers with shirts or T-shirts, while the ladies did not hold back with some beautiful white outfits and wedges or heels.
The Windhoek Spring Fiesta is the ultimate entertainment experience where lively Windhoekers meet in a frenzy of style, sophistication and premium entertainment; this was the sixth time the event was being held.
