Windhoek
Bank Windhoek’s Emerging Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ESME) has called on aspiring and established entrepreneurs to approach the finance branch for funding to start their businesses, expand, or diversify their existing business portfolios.
Bank Windhoek has ESME finance branches in Windhoek and Oshakati, but entrepreneurs can also approach their nearest Bank Windhoek branch, or agency for assistance.
The vision of Bank Windhoek’s ESME finance branch is “to see an increasing number of emerging, small and medium enterprises growing into sustainable businesses, creating new wealth and new opportunities for the benefit of the Namibian economy”.
Mbo Luvindao, Bank Windhoek ESME Finance Branch Manager, says his staff members are ready to receive business proposals from entrepreneurs. The proposals can be in sectors such as construction, transport, manufacturing, franchising, retailing, tourism or any other sector. “All proposals received are assessed for their financial viability based on responsible lending principles.
We do not only provide loans, but also business mentorship to selected successful SME loan applicants to ensure that they acquire the necessary skills and support to run their business successfully.” The mentorship programme is facilitated on Bank Windhoek’s behalf by Business Financial Solutions (BFS).
Furthermore, Bank Windhoek’s ESME finance branch prides itself on its service delivery and quick turn-around time on SME loan applications. “We therefore call on local entrepreneurs, especially women and the youth, with viable business ideas to approach us as we are here to assist you to realise the dream of running your own business,” Luvindao says.
