The revamped Auas Valley Shopping Mall now offers even more shopping in a relaxed atmosphere; exciting competitions; merriment; free parking and also extended shopping hours.
Last month the Auas Valley Shopping Mall was host to BIWAK, the starting event of the Windhoek Carnival (WIKA) again, after it was hosted at another venue last year due to the construction at the mall. Windhoek’s Deputy Mayor, Councillor Hangapo Veico, officially opened the Windhoek Carnival at the BIWAK event.
During Easter, the mall had shoppers hunting for the Auas Valley Easter egg take “selfies” for the Auas Valley Facebook competition.
Five winners of this competition each walked away with N$2 000 cash. Safari Den also hosted an outside broadcast with Radio Kosmos as part of the Easter promotion, one of the popular large promotions of this hunting and outdoor specialist store.
From today, shoppers will also be able to do their after-work shopping at most of the retailers in the mall who extended their business hours to 18h00.
Two of the main tenants in the mall already hosted special late night shopping events where they offered shopping hours until late in the evening with added specials and demonstrations by suppliers.
“Various organisations have approached the Auas Valley management to host their social events at the mall,” the mall managers have revealed..
Besides Pick ’n Pay and Agra, where clients can buy all their groceries and farming necessities, there are large and well-known Namibian outlets such as Nictus and Safari Den that provide all the needs for furnishing a house or enjoying the outdoors and the hunting fields.
“The Auas Valley Pharmacy and Auas Vet Med provide medicine and health products for man and his pet with an optometrist and doctor available to tend to your health and well-being,” the mall management has said. There are also various smaller retailers that offer home-made food; baking and party necessities, clothing, jewellery, accessories, perfume, electronics and toys while trendy salons and Buzz Tattoo parlour attend to clients’ looks.
“The fast-food franchise with Fish Aways, Steers and Debonairs is on the way out of the mall for the hurried shopper who opts for take aways while an upmarket restaurant, Jonno’s, on the top floor, is the ideal place to enjoy some time-out with family and friends and good food.”
