The level of apathy in Namibia must end. It is the only way this nation shall go forward.
I believe that the land crisis was fuelled by nothing other than greed. It was justified by those in parliament because they went into partnerships with developers to create the matchbox houses called flats. Now the parliamentarians, who are earning N$75 000 want government flats.
I feel that all public servants, who find it hard to buy into the housing market of Windhoek because of its exorbitant prices, have the very right to demand that government pay them out what they are worth in housing subsidy per month. Each and everyone must demand that they get their subsidy cash at the end of the month and it must not be taxed so that we can afford to give dignified lives to our children.
If ministers are complaining about high rental prices what about the poor? We have property moguls, who own over 75 units of flats in every town, but yet they do not pay a cent in tax.
