WINDHOEK– Last Week the Hage Geingob Secondary School awarded certificates and cash to sixteen Grade Ten learners who were the best performers last year.
They obtained 40-42 points during their final examination. The learners who obtained 42 points received N$ 300 and those with 41 points N$ 200 while those who got 40 points received N$100 dollar. The award ceremony took place at the Immanuel Church in Freedomland. The learners were companied by their proud parents. The ceremony was a glamorous occasion with the learners, neatly and smartly well behaved. Besides the top Grade Ten learners, some learners in other grades who obtained 72 percent and more also received certificates for their hard-work.
The head-boy, Paulus Namweya was one of the six Grade Eleven learners
who last year scored 85 percent in the Grade Eleven exam, leading the way for
the other learners to follow. “The head-boy is the only head boy we ever had
that is doing us proud, he is very hard working and he is very focused and we
believed that next year Hage Geingob will be in the top for Grade Twelve,’’
says Lusati Immanuel, the Geography teacher. “Let’s help the other learners
achieve awards for us to stand as Hage for excellent result and I would like to
thank each learner that received prices that we the teachers are proud of you”
concludes Gaoseb Jorris, the Accounting teacher and the school choir
conductor.
