The Focus Academy is set to host its first-ever show, called ‘Focus School Playhouse’, at the Academia Secondary School hall on 16 June.
This event aims to showcase and recognise the talents of young children enrolled in the academy.
The event will feature a wide range of activities for children, including modelling, acting, singing and dancing, said organisers.
They envision this event as a platform for children to display their skills and talents in front of a live audience.
Founder of Focus Academy Efe Agbanu expressed excitement about the upcoming event, urging parents and guardians to attend and support their children.
She emphasised that the show will provide an excellent opportunity for parents to witness their children’s abilities and talents first-hand.
“There are going to be performing acts like D-Kay the Hustler and Julio. We just want parents to also see the other side of their children – the more creative side of their children – and also to give the children that opportunity for them to actually show their parents what they love to see. They love to dance, sing and act,” she said.
Agbanu further said as a preschool academy, they aim to demonstrate to parents what their children are doing and what they are capable of beyond purely academic pursuits.
She said although the idea for the ‘Focus School Playhouse’ was conceived in 2016, it faced various challenges and only came to fruition this year.
Organisers are, thus, eager to present this event as a celebration of young talent and a testament to the capabilities of the children at Focus Academy.
