Hockey fans in Windhoek and Swakopmund will be in for a treat this weekend when the Bank Windhoek Indoor Hockey League commences.
Last season, Saints Men won the premier league and according to their coach Trevor Cormack, the team is looking forward to the new season, although they lost many players who went abroad for studies.
“We are excited for the new season. We have a lot of new players who are young; some represented Namibia at the recent African Cup of Nations Field Hockey in Accra, Ghana. I believe these players have gained so much experience after competing at that level,” he noted.
