Ruan Rispel from AC Boxing will headline the stable’s next event in December.
He believes the fight will be a great opportunity to showcase his talent.
He has eight fights, seven wins and one draw.
He is set to face Joseph Abel, who has 10 fights, four wins and six losses in a 10-round bout.
This will be the third event for the stable this year after successfully hosting two others.
The fight is scheduled for 14 December at the Roman Catholic Hall in Windhoek.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Rispel expressed his delight at headlining the upcoming bout, noting that it reflects how much he has grown since he started boxing in 2018.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for me to prove that I’m ready to compete at the elite level. A lot of hard work has gone on behind the scenes. Headlining one of the most important bonanzas this year shows that my efforts are paying off,” he said.
Reflecting on his journey, he acknowledged the challenges but expressed satisfaction with his progress.
“I started boxing about three years ago. I’m impressed with how quickly I’ve risen through the ranks. I hope to keep this momentum going,” he added.
Meanwhile, Denzil Silvanus, who recently turned professional and has two fights under his belt, is also expected to feature on the December card.
He shared his thoughts on the transition to professional boxing, noting that it requires much more effort compared to amateur boxing.
“I’m happy with my experience so far. Since turning professional last year, I’ve had two fights, winning one and losing the other. But there’s so much hard work involved, and I believe it eventually pays off,” he said.
Founder and coach of AC Boxing Imms Moses encouraged boxers from other stables to reach out if they would like to participate in the event.
“We have several boxers on the card but are still looking for opponents. We’re working with up-and-coming boxers who want an opportunity, so we’re calling on those interested in being part of the bonanza to contact us, and see if we can make it happen,” he stated.
Tickets for the event are priced at N$100, while tables for 10 are available for N$10 000.
