Secretary to Cabinet, George Simataa on Monday announced the appointment of three new executive directors at government ministries and agencies.
The appointments take effect on 1 November 2024.
Ndiitah Nghipondoka-Robiati, who was the deputy executive director in the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade, is now the executive director in the Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare, Simataa said in a statement.
Nghipondoka-Robiati previously also served as acting executive director in the Ministry of Public Enterprises as well as CEO of the Namibia Trade Forum.
Tuyakula Haipinge, who currently is a deputy executive director in the Office of the Prime Minister, has been appointed as the executive director of the Ministry of Higher Education, Training and Innovation. Haipinge has over 18 years of experience in management.
Current deputy executive director of the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade, Michael Humavindu has been announced as the executive director of the National Planning Commission.
Humavindu previously served as manager of research at DBN and was the director of economics and sector research at the Namibian Competition Commission.
According to Simataa, the appointments of the executive directors were recommended by the Public Service Commission in line with the Public Service Act, 1995 (Act No. 13 of 1995).
Simataa congratulated Nghipondoka-Robiati, Haipinge and Humavindu on their appointment as EDs and wished them success in their new positions. -Nampa
