Namibia end Afcon with goalless draw against Kenya

The Brave Warriors of Namibia brought their disappointing qualifying campaign for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) to a close today with a 0-0 draw against Kenya’s Harambee Stars at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

Despite a determined performance, neither team could find the back of the net.

They had both been already eliminated from contention in Group J.

As the qualifiers for Group J wrap up, it is Cameroon and Zimbabwe who have successfully secured their spots for the 2025 Afcon tournament.

Both teams will represent the group in next year’s prestigious continental competition, which is set to take place in Morocco from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.

The 35th edition of Afcon will be a major event in African football, as teams from across the continent will battle for supremacy.
