Acacia-Composites Manufacturers, the African continent’s only wood-plastic composite (WPC) manufacturer, has been exhibiting at WoodEX for Africa 2025.
The event started on Wednesday and concludes today at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
Acacia-Composites Manufacturers is turning heads not only with their premium decking and cladding solutions, but also with their sustainably designed exhibition booth, built entirely from compressed cardboard.
Made using 70% intruder bush species and recycled plastic, Acacia’s WPC products are proudly produced in Windhoek and certified to meet stringent European standards.
“Our presence at WoodEX is more than just an exhibition. It’s a celebration of Namibian ingenuity,” said Eike Bolm, general manager of Acacia-Composites.
“We’re showing that sustainability, quality and local production can go hand-in-hand,” he added.
The booth features distinct Namibian touches, including authentic biltong and droëwors from Namibia for visitors to enjoy.
A special giveaway also drew attention, with attendees standing a chance to win a pair of iconic Namibian vellies (veldskoene), a nod to local craftsmanship. Visitors were invited to connect with the Acacia team, explore product samples, and learn how the brand’s eco-smart WPC materials support environmental restoration, reduce carbon impact and offer an elegant alternative to traditional wood.
