The championship took place from 3-6 July, featuring competitors from Zambia, South Africa and Namibia.

After three gruelling days of intense competition, Namibia managed to secure three gold medals and three bronze medals.

Jannie Meuwesen, Evan Meyer and Eden Keyser each clinched gold medals in their respective categories.

In the female freestyle category, Bea Viviers earned a bronze medal.

Stephan Meyer and Eden Keyser secured a bronze in the team hunter division. Additionally, the trio of Jannie Meuwesen, Evan Meyer and Bea Viviers bagged another bronze medal in a similar team category.

Jacqueline Coetzee, a representative of the Archery Association of Namibia (AAN), expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance.

“It was a tough tournament with top archers from all three countries involved, but we’re proud our athletes managed to bring medals back home.

It shows how far ahead we are as a nation when it comes to archery,” she said.
