Action in the Khomas Super 10 will take centre stage this weekend, with more than 10 matches scheduled in the capital on Friday and Saturday.
The league last had games in June to make way for the 2024 African Union Sports Council Region 5 Youth Games, held in Windhoek and Swakopmund.
After the long break, teams are now set to return to the courts tomorrow across various categories. In the Super 10, United will open against Unam Jaguars at 18h00, followed by Go Monate Fella versus Tigers.
In the first division on Friday, Golden Girls will face Tigers at 18h00, while Afrocat Lions will battle United at 19h00.
Speaking to this publication, league representative Dimitri Bitler welcomed the restart, promising an action-packed weekend.
“I believe we had ample time to rest and reset. Most teams are yearning to play. We expect a weekend full of action, with teams trying to extend leads or close gaps. All teams have confirmed their readiness,” he said. Saturday’s Super 10 fixtures will see Golden Girls take on the Namibian Defence Force Windhoek at 08h00, Nust A will play Namibian Correctional Service (NCS) at 11h00, Tigers will face Afrocat Lions at 12h30, and United will meet Wanderers at 15h30.
In the first division, Afrocat Lions will take on Tigers at 09h30, while Golden Girls will meet Nust at the same time on the other court. Wanderers will face United at 12h30, followed by Zebra Force versus Tigers.
Afrocat Lions will return to meet Golden Girls at 15h30.
