The fourth fistball tournament of 2025 is scheduled to take place this Saturday in Swakopmund. The event will feature three categories with a total of 14 teams competing.
The first matches will kick off at 08h30. In the U/18 youth category, five teams will vie for the title, two teams each from Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) and Swakopmund Fistball Club (SFC), along with one team from CFC. SFC heads into Saturday crucial tournament as the defending champions, with pressure mounting.
The A-category will see the host team SFC, along with SKW, fielding one team each, while CFC will be represented by two teams. CFC 1 remains the team to beat, having won the opening tournament and all three subsequent tournaments this year.
Their clubmates, CFC 2, reached the finals of the last tournament three weeks ago and are aiming for a repeat performance. SFC, the hosts, will be without two key starters this weekend, which could affect their chances. All eyes will also be on record champions SKW 1, who will be looking to bounce back after finishing last in the previous two tournaments.
The B-category features five teams: SKW 3, SKW 2, Cohen Fistball Club (CFC) 2, SFC 2 and SFC. SKW 3 enters the tournament as clear favourites, having clinched victory in the last two events.
Additionally, on Sunday, an extended training session is scheduled for the women’s team, U/18 boys and the men’s squad.
