Top bowlers in the country will convene this weekend in Tsumeb, where they will compete in the national championship tournament. 

Tsumeb Bowling Club will play host to the much-anticipated tournament. The competition will see champions from each region take part in the hotly contested tournament. All champions in women’s and men’s will tussle it out for a major prize. 

Speaking to this publication yesterday, Michelle Crawford said teams and individual participants are happy and ready to get the ground running for this tournament. She added that she hopes to see stiff competition.

Our preparations have been very thorough, and the teams are in good spirits heading into the tournament. 

Over the past weeks, teams have focused on fine-tuning their technical skills, match strategies, and building strong team cohesion. 

The players have shown great commitment, and we are confident that the hard work will reflect in our performances. 

We know the competition will be tough, but we are ready to represent Namibia with pride and give our best on the greens,” she said. 

She added that they expect an exciting two-day event with stiff competition amongst the participants. “As the organising committee, we expect to deliver a well-structured and competitive tournament that showcases the best of Namibian bowling.”  

“We have worked hard to ensure that all logistics, facilities, and scheduling are in place to create a smooth experience for both players and spectators. 

Beyond the competition, we are looking forward to seeing great sportsmanship, strong rivalries, and an opportunity to grow the profile of the sport locally. 

We expect thrilling matches and believe this tournament will set a benchmark for future events,” she added.
