Five armed men stormed Pikkie Paradys Pre-Primary in Kleine Kuppe, Windhoek, and fled with more than N$100 000 in cash on Monday.

City Police spokesperson Superintendent Marceline Murapo said the suspects entered the reception area armed with a firearm and knives before holding the school’s receptionist at gunpoint.

It is alleged after intimidating the receptionist, three of the suspects forced their way into the office, where two female staff members were working.

Two female employees were threatened at gunpoint and told to give up the money.

The suspects then escaped in a blue Mazda Demio.

“No recovery has been made at this stage, but investigations are ongoing. We are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the arrest of these suspects,” Murapo said.

The City Police have urged residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activity.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Windhoek City Police immediately.
