ONGWEDIVA – Ongwediva is set to come alive with laughter and excitement this December as the highly anticipated Kiddies Festival Ongwediva 2025 prepares to welcome children and families for two days of fun, games, and unforgettable moments.
This year, organizer Martha Niilonga is going above and beyond by bringing the festival to children in hospitals, delivering treats so that no child misses out on the joy, even those who cannot attend the main event.
The festival, which has become a cherished annual event, is designed to give kids a
platform to connect, play, and simply enjoy themselves, an opportunity often missing in festivals focused mainly on adults.
Niilonga, said event aims to ensure children from age one and up have a space to bond, make friends, and have unforgettable experiences.
“This year, we are kicking things off differently. On 5 December, the festival team will visit the Oshakati State Hospital to distribute goodies to young patients, spreading smiles beyond the festival grounds. The main event will then take place from 6th to 7 December, starting at 18h00, at CTM in Ongwediva,” she stated.
Niilonga further highlighted that the festival is an excellent opportunity for local SMEs to showcase and sell their products.
“We want this year to be bigger, with more games, activities, and fun zones. Parents can even drop off their young children under our supervised program and pick them up later,” she added.Tickets are priced at N$10 for children and N$15 for adults, giving families access to a wide range of games, activities, and entertainment. Organisers are also inviting sponsors to join in making the festival a memorable success.
Residents of Ongwediva and nearby towns are encouraged to participate in the celebration and be part of a festival that highlights the community’s young stars.
