The Namibia Football Association will host an Elite FIFA Goalkeeping Coaching course from 14-18 December 2025 in Windhoek.

The four-day course is set to bring together 30 goalkeeper coaches from Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe for a week of intense training by internationally acclaimed instructors.

The course is designed to help participants understand the modern demands of the position and align local training with international trends. The course will be led by two respected goalkeeper instructors: Cameroon Cox from South Africa and Alejandro Heredia from Argentina. Both instructors bring years of international experience and have helped develop goalkeepers at professional and youth levels.

Cox, who currently coaches the Banyana Banyana goalkeepers, holds a CAF A Licence and is a certified FIFA and CAF trainee instructor. He is known for his energetic and modern coaching style, with a focus on agility, footwork, ball-handling and the goalkeeper’s role in starting attacks.

Heredia, the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper coach, is a FIFA and CAF instructor.

He brings a South American approach built on strong positioning, tactical awareness and smart decision-making, key qualities for goalkeepers aiming to compete internationally.

The course includes both practical on-field sessions and theory-based classroom modules.

Participants will take part in advanced technical drills, video analysis, leadership and injury-prevention sessions, and tactical training to deepen their overall understanding of the game.

A selected group of goalkeepers and goalkeeper coaches from across the country will take part, representing various academies, regional training centres and youth national teams.
