#BeFree receives stationery packs

The #BeFree Youth Campus on Friday received a donation of 60 back-to-school stationery packs valued at N$60 000 from the Professional Provident Society (PPS) Insurance Namibia.

Speaking at the handover in Windhoek, youth officer at the #BeFree campus, Hileni Emvula, said the campus serves more than 500 members weekly, making fair distribution of the stationery essential. She explained that members participating in programmes, consulting with psychologists, social workers or counsellors at the wellness division, as well as those visiting the clinic for educational purposes or general consultations, will be considered to ensure fair distribution.

“This is aimed at encouraging and instilling a culture of commitment, hard work and discipline,” Emvula said.

PPS Head of Operations, Communications and Marketing, Carline Butler, said the donation was motivated by the organisation’s desire to strengthen its relationship with the community.

“PPS is proud to provide this sponsorship, with the aim of fostering community relationships and ensuring that every child has access to opportunity,” Butler added.

Meanwhile, chairperson of the #BeFree Leadership Council at the campus, Godwin Januarie, expressed appreciation to PPS for the donation, saying it will ease the burden on families and learners.

“Your generosity helps open doors to opportunities and empowers young people to work towards achieving their academic goals and dreams. Thank you for believing in our members and in the future,” Januarie said.
