Residents of Oshakati have been without electricity since yesterday morning, with Oshakati Premier Electric (OPE) spokesperson Rautia Mwaala confirming that technicians are still working to resolve the issue, and no exact restoration time can be provided. NamPower earlier stated that the outage was caused by a fault on an OPE feeder, affecting three 11kV circuit transformers and an auxiliary transformer at the Oshakati substation.
Repair work is ongoing but is expected to take time. The public is urged to treat all electrical points as live, as power may be restored without notice.
