Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC has awarded six bursaries valued at N$1.5 million to students from various tertiary institutions for the 2026 academic year.
In a media statement issued on Monday, the company said the beneficiaries include four new students and two continuing students pursuing qualifications in accounting, data science, cybersecurity, computer science and business information systems at the University of Namibia (Unam), Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) and the International University of Management (IUM). MTC corporate communications specialist Erasmus Nekundi, who is also a former beneficiary of the bursary programme, congratulated the recipients and encouraged them to make full use of the opportunity.
“This is not just funding an academic journey, but also a possible opportunity for recipients to secure employment opportunities at MTC upon completing their studies,” Nekundi said. The company said its bursary programme has so far granted over N$5.7 million in tertiary education support for talented and deserving Namibian students across various academic disciplines. -Nampa
