A 37-year-old man has been reported missing in Swakopmund after his vehicle was found abandoned along the B2 road near the ocean at Vierkantklip. His cellphone has remained switched off since Wednesday.
According to Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula, Nafutal Shinedima told his cousin on Wednesday that he was going to drop off his curriculum vitae (CV) with someone, but he did not disclose the person’s identity.
His girlfriend also informed police that she last spoke to him on Wednesday afternoon.
“Police officers visited the scene and found his vehicle locked. Footprints believed to be from safety boots were also visible in the area,” said Shomongula.
She added that the vehicle was subsequently towed to the Mondesa Police Station while efforts to locate Shinedima continue.
Shinedima was last seen wearing black jeans, a green Adidas jersey, and black safety boots. He is described as light-complexioned.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Inspector Cletius Kabuku at 081 391 0671 or the nearest police station.
