Namibia’s WBO Africa Lightweight champion, Paulus ‘The Hitman’ Moses has been added to the already exciting line-up of next month’s Champions in Action Part 7 boxing bonanza at Windhoek Country Club.

The veteran former WBA Lightweight world champion will defend his African lightweight crown against Tanzania’s Cosmas Cheka on October 8 in Namibia’s capital, where he will be joined by the likes of Sakaria ‘Desert Storm’ Lukas, Walter ‘Executioner’ Kautondokwa and Japhet ‘Thin Man’ Uutoni, who will all defend their titles on the night.

The Hitman is now rated number 10 in the world by the WBO and boasts an impressive record of 41 fights, 37 wins, 3 losses and 1 no-contest. His last fight was a win against Thompson Mokwana from South Africa in Windhoek last month.

His opponent, Cheka, is the current Universal Boxing Organisation (UBO) Super Featherweight world champion. He comes into the ring with 27 fights, 17 wins, 5 losses and 5 draws. His last fight was in June against Chrispin Moliati, which he won.
The WBO has approved his credentials as a worthy opponent for The Hitman.

“The Hitman still has a lot of boxing left in him. He is our most experienced fighter, a disciplined and energetic sportsman, and a win can only push him up in the world ratings. His opponent comes with a lot of experience and motivation, but we will be ready to outclass him”, said promoter Nestor Tobias.

Tickets for the fight are available at the MTC Sunshine Boxing office and at Computicket. General tickets sell for N$300, while VIP tables sell for N$10 000 each.
