WINDHOEK – The police are still looking for six armed men who robbed two Chinese nationals at gunpoint last week Tuesday at a Brakwater lodge.
The robbery happened at approximately 01h00 at Sundown Lodge in Brakwater settlement, about 20 kilometres north of the capital. The robbers allegedly sped away with N$127 000 in cash, Yen 600 and US$2200. They allegedly also took six laptops, as well as ten cell phones and clothes.
Inspector Slogan Matheus of the Namibian Police Public Relations Division informed New Era yesterday that no one has been arrested and no item has been recovered as yet.
The suspects allegedly entered the building, fired a single gunshot in the Chinese sleeping room’s roof and then robbed them of their money and other valuables.
Police investigations into the robbery were continuing.
