WINDHOEK-Namibian Jazzist, Suzy Eises, is back in the country volunteering in Kenya for 18 months.
Suzy says she is very happy to be back in Namibia after a very long time and would like to put her Saxophone playing abilities to the service of all and sundry who would wish to hire her. Known for her soulful saxophone mastery, Suzy and the Jazz Band have performed and collaborated alongside greats like Jimmy Dludlu, Groove Candy, Micasa and our very own Gazza. Her comeback is also to elevate the Namibian music industry, especially the jazz circuit, to greater vibrant heights.
Suzy’s career started way back when she uses to play Piano/Keyboard at primary school in Oranjemund. While in Grade 10 in 2006, she used to see follow students performing jazz which inspired her. In 2010 Suzy met her uncle Dennis Eiseb, an accomplished keyboardist, who put on her the musical map. In 2012 she joined ventures with the rappers Mathew ‘Brain the Tool’ Ishitile and Joaqui Paulus and form a group called RHG, which saw them releasing their massive single Quality, complimented by a video that was well received by locals.
