WINDHOEK– Learners and teachers at one of the great schools in the Erongo region with one of the top performers in Namibia, the Da Palm Secondary School in Otjimbingwe hosted a successful beauty pageant last weekend.
The event was graced by both alumni and current learners with their presence. Many travelled to Otjimbingwe and witnessed the annual prestigious event.This year’s pageant was hyped up by GPEEZ Inc who entertained the audience with wonderful local music. With Namibia being in its current winter months, the weekend was hot and everyone forgot about the winter cold breezes. One of the organisers of the pageant, Godsrite Aibes, says this year’s pageant was well attended since the inception of this annual event in 1989.
The pageant had three judges and the directors of the ceremony on the night Sydney and Enrico kept the crowd on their toes with their remarkable humour.
Head Boy, Collin Ndjai, expressed gratitude to everyone who attended the pageant and urged former learners to return to the school after graduating to assist with administration and motivate others to work and study hard.
