RUNDU – A 27-year-old woman from Sivara village in Kavango West took her own life after her father denied her. The woman, who has been identified as Stefanie Mutengo Hamutenya, hanged herself in her hut with a piece of cloth.
She left a suicide note stating she was committing suicide because her father claimed she was not his biological daughter. The incident took place at Sivara rural community last Sunday at an unknown time.
The body was transported by the Namibian Police to the Rundu state mortuary.
Chief Inspector Chrispin Mubebo told New Era that police investigations continued.
