WINDHOEK – Bank Windhoek National A-League log leaders SKW-1 have a date with 3rd placed SKW-2 in what promises to be a thrilling encounter at the SKW fields this coming Saturday.
SKW-2 won the last encounter between the two teams in Swakopmund and victory will see them leapfrog big brother into 1st place on the log, but they will first have to negotiate their way past 2nd placed Cohen FC-1. At the wrong end of the table SFC-1 square off against Cohen FC-2, after the seasiders got the better of their opponents in their last encounter. Six points clear Cohen FC-3 will look to extend their lead at the top of the table in the National B-League, when they come up against 2nd placed SFC-2 and DTS.
Also on Saturday, Cohen confront SKW-3 and DTS in winnable matches if they can repeat their performance during the first round of games in Swakopmund. Meanwhile, Cohen FC-4 will be looking for their first win of the season when they take on bitter rivals SKW-3. This will be the last time the players of the U-18 national team will be in action before departing for Brazil. Led by coach Andreas Minz, the youngsters will participate at the U-18 Fistball World Championship featuring teams from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Argentina, Chile and hosts Brazil. This weekend’s matches all start at 08h00.
