RUNDU – A three-year-old girl died after she was allegedly brutally raped by a 17-year-old boy on Friday at Kakuro village outside Nkurenkuru.
Nkurenkuru is located in the Kavango East Region.
It is alleged the suspect picked up the little girl and took her to his room and allegedly raped her between 11h00 and 18h00. It was reported to the police but the suspect has still not yet been arrested. The victim’s next of kin have been informed.
In a similar story, a 15-year-old girl was gang raped by four boys in the Kehemu settlement in Rundu in the early hours of Saturday morning.
It was reported the victim was dragged by the four boys into a room who undressed her and forced her to lay down on the bed and raped her one after the other. The suspects are still not identified and thus no arrests were made but police investigations continue.
In other news, a 79-year-old pensioner died after drinking traditional liquor at Yinsu village in Kavango East, last Wednesday at around 15h00. The body was taken to Nankudu mortuary.
