Call to Lüderitz Town Council

Home Archived Call to Lüderitz Town Council

During March this year (2006) I visited a beautiful coastal town in the Karas Region. A town named after a German merchant from Bremen, Adolf LÃÆ’Æ‘Æ‘ÃÆ”šÃ‚¼deritz. A town with an attractive historical Dutch Africa Bank and lighthouse on Shark Island. The town presumably receives up to 20% foreigners weekly through its two points of entry. During the visit, I viewed an attractive waterfront restaurant as well as waterfront jetty where I observed that preventive precaution is lacking, because anybody can enter the jetty freely without being detected whether he/she is under intoxication which may result in loss of life. I’m now urging LÃÆ’Æ‘Æ‘ÃÆ”šÃ‚¼deritz Town Council, the Port of LÃÆ’Æ‘Æ‘ÃÆ”šÃ‚¼deritz & Water Front Management to enhance restrictive measures to all people entering the waterfront jetty. JNR.
