WINDHOEK – The 3rd edition of the annual popular PTA Tennis Series for the 2014 season kicks off this weekend at Windhoek High School.
The tourney catered for players of all ages while skill levels are being worked on by the Pro Tennis Academy. What makes this series unique is the fact that players compete in different categories according to their skill level and not according to their age.
However, action gets underway tomorrow with the Mini (service block court) and Midi (half court) categories. On Saturday from 08h00, players from various age groups and different levels will square off on the full court in the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced categories.
All participants will once again collect points for the PTA tennis ranking and throughout the series, players will accumulate ranking points on a 12-month rolling basis with great prizes in store for the overall winners at the end of the year.
Wimpy Maerua have also confirmed their continued support for the tennis series and thereby contribute significantly to the development of the sport and tennis talent in the country.
