Speaker of the National Assembly Professor Peter Katjavivi has commended South Africa for its boldness in filing a case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over the latter’s alleged breach of the UN Convention on genocide by killing Palestinians in Gaza.

Air cargo demand surged 10.8% in December

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that air cargo demand rebounded in 2023 with a particularly strong fourth quarter performance despite economic uncertainties. Full-year cargo demand reached a level just slightly below 2022 and 2019.
